ECT 2010
8th European Conference on Thermoelectrics

The conference is promoted by the European Thermoelectric Society and, this year, it is organized by the Institute for Energetics and Interphases, unit of Lecco, of the Italian National Research Council (CNR).
ECT 2010 will take place in Como, at the Società del Casino, September 23-24, 2010.

The conference highlights fundamentals of thermoelectricity, development of new thermoelectric materials, devices processing and their forefront applications in electrical generation and cooling, ranging from macro to nano scales.

All scientists and engineers working in the field of thermoelectricity are invited to attend ECT 2010.

The conference will consist of invited and contributed papers during plenary, oral and poster sessions. The topics cover a wide range of scientific research that often bridges the gap between basic science and various applications of thermoelectricity. Papers are solicited from the following topics:

  • Theoretical concepts in thermoelectricity and basic approaches
  • New or improved thermoelectric materials
  • Thermoelectricity at a reduced scale
  • New developments in measurement techniques and preparation methods
  • Novel approaches to thermoelectricity
  • Applications in thermoelectric refrigeration and electrical current generation

We are looking forward to meeting you in Como.
