Technical University of Berlin makes an excursion to Selb

At the suggestion of Professor Dr. M. Lerch, an experimental lecture entitled “Thermal Analysis”
was offered during the winter semester at the Technical University of Berlin. The event was
oriented towards students majoring in chemistry, physics and material sciences.

The lecture was held by Dr. Ekkehard Füglein from the NETZSCH applications laboratory.
Besides imparting knowledge about the basics and measuring principles of Thermal Analysis,
he's also focused upon the function and design of the instruments as well as the presentation of
practical application examples. During the lecture in Berlin, various measurements with diverse
NETZSCH instruments were carried out.

The follow-up excursion to the applications laboratory in Selb on August 1st, 2006 was a great
occasion for all participants. A visit to the pilot plant stations at our sister company, the NETZSCH
“Grinding & Dispersing” business unit as well at the “Hutschenreuther” porcelain factory, rounded
out the excursion to Selb.
