DEA 231 Epsilon – Dielectric Analyzer

GeneralTechniqueSoftwareApplicationsAccessoriesLiterature

Sensors are available in a wide variety of configurations to meet the requirements of diverse applications. Below is an overview of the different implantable sensors and the robust, re-usable "Tool Mount Sensors" (TMS™) with comb structure or as monotrode for bulk measurements.

Implantable (disposable) sensors:

  • Various flexible IDEX sensors (interdigitated electrode) for up to 200°C or up to 375°C
  • Special filtered IDEX sensors for carbon-fiber-reinforced resin systems
  • Various Micron sensors for thin layers (1 µm, 5 µm or 25 µm)
  • Sensors for high ion conductivity

Robust, reusable sensors and accessories:

  • Various Tool Mount Sensors (TMS™) with diameters of 0.5", 1" or 2" for up to 250°C or 400°C for permanent mounting in a tool
  • Various Monotrode sensors with diameters of 6 mm, 0.5", 1" and 2" for up to 200°C, 250°C or 400°C to be mounted in a mold (e.g. SMC/BMC)
  • "Dielectric Fluid State" (DFS) sensors for measurements in the fluid phase only
  • Pressure and vacuum-tight feed-throughs for autoclaves

We'll be happy to advise you on the optimum sensor for your application!

DEA furnace for all disposable sensors:

The DEA 231/1 Epsilon can also be retrofitted with a small, easy to use lab furnace, which operates from room temperature to 375°C. Temperature/time ramps can be programmed manually via a control unit with heating rates up to 40 K/min, making it possible to carry out practice-relevant experiments in the laboratory.

Press for SMC/BMC:

For the compression of SMC/BMC we also offer, available immediately, a pneumatic, water-cooled press that delivers a force capacity of 10 kN at a pressure of 5 bar. Test molds up to a diameter of 165 mm with an integrated monotrode sensor can be positioned therein. The press can be controlled for temperature ramps up to a maximum of 300°C. A trigger signal, programmed using the ICAM software, allows the press to open when the material reaches a particular consistency and thereby enables optimization of the curing time.
