The TG 449 F1 Jupiter® is equipped with a cooling thermostat to guarantee high long-term stability.

Various vacuum pumps, including turbomolecular pumps, enable measurements at reduced pressures or under the purest, oxygen-free atmospheres.

A variety of sample crucibles made of alumina, platinum, aluminum, graphite, fused silica, etc. is available in different sizes.

The water vapor furnace with perfectly balanced accessories for steam generation, gas mixing and flow control offers the unique opportunity to study the mass changes (and energy changes with the STA 449 F1 Jupiter®) in samples up to 1250°C under defined absolute humidity.

Material research and characterization at the highest level is possible with the coupling of the TG 449 F1 Jupiter® to the QMS 403 C Aëolos® quadrupole mass spectrometer and/or an FTIR spectrometer. Evolved gases are directed straight to the gas analyzer via a heated fused silica capillary or transfer line. This means that, during decomposition of the sample, volatile fragments down to the ppm range can be detected and identified.

Knudsen cells made of diverse oxide ceramic materials are available for vapor pressure measurements in high vacuum.

Ferro-paramagnetic transitions can be detected via the mass change step at Curie temperature in the heating or cooling cycle using a magnet that is mounted on the furnace of the TG 449 F1 Jupiter®.
