TG 409 CD - Thermobalance

GeneraleTecnicaSoftwareApplicazioniAccessoriLetteratura

The TG 409 CD is equipped with a cooling thermostat to guarantee high long-term stability.

Various vacuum pumps, including turbomolecular pumps, enable measurements at reduced pressures or the purest, oxygen-free atmospheres.

A variety of sample crucibles made of alumina, platinum, aluminum, graphite, tungsten, etc. is available in different sizes.

The water vapor furnace with perfectly balanced accessories for steam generation, gas mixing and flow control offers the unique opportunity to study the mass changes (as well as energy changes with the STA 409 CD) of samples up to 1250°C under defined absolute humidity.

Material research and characterization at the highest level is possible with the Skimmer coupling of the TG 409 CD (STA 409 CD) to the QMS 403/5 quadrupole mass spectrometer. Evolved gases are directed straight from the furnace to the mass spectrometer via an orifice and the Skimmer. This means that even volatile metallic vapors from sample decomposition can be detected and analyzed.

Knudsen cells made of diverse oxide ceramic materials are available for vapor pressure measurements in high vacuum.

Ferro-paramagnetic transitions can be detected via the mass change step at Curie temperature in the heating or cooling cycle a magnet that is mounted on the furnace of the TG 409 CD (STA 409 CD).
