Algorithm of Kinetic Analysis

Measurements with logarithmically-ordered heating rates.
In the case of DSC/DTA-measurement, one measurement of a melting peak of a pure metal in the same crucible as used in sample measurement is necessary.

Make a comparing print out of all measurements.

Are more than one peak visible in DTG or DSC curves?

Does the mass loss (TGA) or the peak area (DSC) depend on the heating rate?

At least a double step reaction is present.

The process under investigation contains a branched reaction path.

Make model-free analysis.

Check the dependence of activation energy on degree of reaction.

Make a print out of the results of model-free analysis.

Define the kinetic model.
Use the result of model-free analysis for the definition of initial values.
Optimize the parameters visually.

Start the nonlinear regression.
