Part 4: How Fully Automatic Software Routines can Actively Support Users in the Evaluation of Thermoanalytical Curves

The software plays an increasingly important role in the application of analytical instruments. It should be intuitive, easy to handle and provide results the user can trust.

AutoEvaluation and Identify are marking real turning points in the world of thermal analysis because these software features are able to support users in the evaluation, interpretation and classification of their substances. This saves time and makes TGA (= thermogravimetric analysis) and DSC (= differential scanning calorimetry) work easier and more reliable.

AutoEvaluation is the first truly self-acting evaluation routine. It detects and evaluates thermal effects without any user intervention and is now applicable on DSC curves containing multiple endo- and exothermic curves.

Identify is a curve recognition and database system which provides effect-based database comparisons with just one click. For this purpose, libraries with more than 1,200 entries are already included, also those for pharmaceuticals and organics.

In addition, Identify can be used for quality control.
