What Proteus can do for you, even after the K show:

By employing the intuitive SmartMode user interface, test runs can be started promptly through wizards (quick-start routines), user-defined or pre-defined methods for many different polymer types (differential scanning calorimetry, DSC) or various normconform temperature programs (thermogravimetric analysis, TGA).

Proteus has a sixth sense for detecting thermal effects in polymer DSC and TGA curves and analyzes them autonomously. You can include AutoEvaluation in your measurement method, so that your curves will be evaluated automatically as soon as the test run has finished.

Proteus has a huge, adaptive memory bank called Identify. It compares measurement curves with curves stored in the database and can immediately determine how similar they are. This is perfect for material identification or quality control (pass/fail testing).

Proteus manages an Automatic Sample Changer for up to 192 samples (DSC 204 F1 Phoenix® and TG 209 F1 Libra®) plus a separate tray for 12 calibration materials/ reference pans with ease. And don't worry about calibrations or cooling parameters. Proteus will carry all that out in passing.

TG 209 F1 Libra®

Flexibility with the fittings of this premium instrument for thermogravimetry allow it to cover almost any imaginable application in the range up to 1100°C. The system has many outstanding features: BeFlat® function allows or immediate measurement upon switching on the unit, the system’s heating rates of up to 200 K/min allow for faster results, while its corrosion-resistant ceramic furnace withstands even fluorine- or chlorine-containing polymers, c-DTA® function for the detection of exothermal and endothermal reactions.

DSC 204 F1 Phoenix®

Very high sensitivity and resolution can be realized with this premium Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), which also features an automatic sample changer (ASC), temperature modulation (TM-DSC), baseline optimization (BeFlat®), correction of thermal resistance and time constants (DSC-correction), even coupling to QMS and FTIR as well as UV-extension for photo-calorimetry.

DMA GABO EPLEXOR® Series up to 500 N

The testing instruments of the DMA GABO EPLEXOR® series up to ±500 N enable the dynamic mechanical (or static) characterization of a wide range of different materials including elastomers and polymers, composites, metals, glasses, ceramics, biomaterials and foods, adhesives, and liquids.

NETZSCH is cooperating with the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid to make material identification easier!

Now the identification of unknown polymers by means of DSC Analysis and database comparison can be done in the blink of an eye.

The Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid offers a polymer database for DSC analysis with 600 data sets for different material samples, each labelled with the appropriate trade name. It includes roughly 130 different polymer types and blends. Additionally, updates and expansions of the database are offered on a regular basis.
