涂料主要有三部分组成:成膜物质、溶剂和填料,在储存、各种液态物料的泵送、分散以及最后的应用与成膜过程中都涉及流变学,因此了解涂料的流变性能非常关键。测试方法主要有剪切速率扫描(研究粘度随剪切速率的变化)、动态振荡测试(得到粘弹性能、强度、屈服应力等信息)、触变性测试(模拟结构破坏和恢复的过程)、等温/变为固化(表征涂料的热固化/光固化过程),研究人员可以根据测试结果预测、评估涂料性能并改进配方,使涂料达到预期的流变性能。

Coatings are mainly composed of three parts: film-forming substances, solvents and fillers. Rheology is involved in storage, pumping and dispersion of various liquid materials, and the final application and film-forming process. Therefore, it is very important to understand the rheological properties of coatings. The test methods mainly include shear rate scanning (to study the change of viscosity with shear rate), dynamic oscillation test (to obtain information such as viscoelasticity, strength, yield stress, etc.), thixotropy test (to simulate the process of structural failure and recovery), isothermal / change to curing (characterizing the thermal curing/light curing process of the coating). The researcher can predict and evaluate the performance of the coating and then improve the formulation based on the test results to make the coating achieve rheological properties as expected.
