No Liquid Nitrogen required
The DLaTGS (deuterated L-alanine doped triglycine sulfate) detector operates without the need for liquid nitrogen. This system is thus particularly well-suited for test runs with an autosampler (ASC) or long-term measurements.
No Separate Transfer Line
The built-in heated gas cell is directly connected to the gas outlet of the furnace via a heated tube. The low volume of this short gas path guarantees fast response and becomes quite advantageous in cases where condensable evolved gases are released by the sample.
No separate FT-IR spectrometer is required. The footprint of the PERSEUS® TG 209 F1 Libra® coupling is identical to that of a standard TG 209 F1 Libra®. This makes the coupled system ideally suited for labs in which space is limited.

The Proteus® software for Thermal Analysis and the OPUS software for FT-IR, both running on a Windows® operating system, are integrated into one another. The software communication allows for online exchange of the data during the measurement. The temperature-dependent 3-D plot of the FT-IR data includes the TGA result for better correlation. In addition, the Proteus® software allows for direct correlation of the FT-IR results with the TGA measurement. All information from the running experiment is expressed as a function of temperature and time.
The Proteus® software includes everything you need to carry out and evaluate the measurement. User-friendly menus and automated routines make this software very easy to use while still providing sophisticated analysis. The Proteus® software is licensed with the instrument and can of course be installed on other computer systems free of charge.

The automatic sample changer for up to 64 samples is well-suited to handle routine measurements in quality control but fulfills as well all tasks in research and development. Different types of crucibles can be changed safely and reliably around the clock – even over the weekend. This provides higher efficiency at lower costs.
Of course, each sample can be assigned an individual measurement and evaluation programm. The automatic sample changer can handle TGA-FT-IR measurement with individual TG programm and individual FT-IR parameter for each measurement. Easy-to-understand input fields lead you through the programming of a measurement series. Unplanned analyses can also be inserted into a pre-programmed measurement series already in progress.
